Hello and welcome to Copy Cats Editing! Here we help make your words perfected. As avid readers ourselves, we know that bringing your story to life can be a BIG process. We strive to make this your one stop shop by offering not only masterful copy editing services, but we also offer beta reading, social media pulls, story insights, social media content and more!
Jess and Bee started this business because of their love of reading. Meeting at a book convention they became best friends with a shared TBR list a mile long! During their journey together they have understood the extensive process it is to write great books. Wanting to contribute in some way, they started Copy Cats Editing. Jess is a master editor with a degree in English that can catch even the peskiest of errors! Bee’s background consists of social media, graphic making and editing. Between the two they are a force to be reckoned with. Copy Cats Editing goes above and beyond your normal copy editing that you need. We strive to offer the best services that can be all done in one place. We can help pull social media quotes, make videos that you can post and even graphics as well. We also offer beta reads with our editing services at no additonal cost. If there is something specific you need/want done, feel free to ask! We are here to help.

Just The Essentials:
- Beta read looking for plot consistency, character consistency, etc.
- Copy/Line Editing to include grammatical errors, spelling & punctuation errors, etc.
- Final edit/read after author has accepted/rejected suggested edits
Copy Cats Special:
- Just the Essentials package, PLUS:
- 10 content pulls for social media usage
- 2 promo videos for use on social media
Al La Carte:
- Beta Read with plot and character consistencies, no copy/line editing $0.005/word
- Content pulls with no editing $50/hour
- Social Media Videos $50/hour
- Rush Fee (Turnaround time 48 hours) add $0.02/word
**Please note, CopyCats Editing does not offer sensitivity editing (to include religious, social awareness, environmental, political, etc.)
Our Process:
Just The Essentials:
Copy Cats Special:
-Both editors will do a complete beta read and notate any plot, character or other issues as well as any grammatical errors.
-We will send the author our edits to review and accept/change.
-Once final tweaks are made by the author, we will do a final read through from start to finish.
Same process as Just The Essentials and to include: When we send back the edits to review and accept/change this will include the 10 social media pulls. From those 10 social media pulls we will ask that you pick your two favorites and will make two videos for you.
